Tokyo Film presets use XMP files: TG01 Everyday Soft, TG02 Evening Glow, and TG03 Tokyo Rain. The free download contains TG01 Everyday Soft. No separate DNG preset files are included.
Unzip the download before importing. Keep the original files and license somewhere safe. The mobile instructions below follow Adobe’s current documentation; Tokyo Grain has not tested them on iOS or Android devices.
Lightroom Classic
Open the Develop module, find the Presets panel, choose the plus menu, and select Import Presets. Select the XMP files or a supported ZIP supplied by the creator. The new group should appear in the panel.
Open a Fujifilm RAW file and apply one preset. If it is missing, confirm that you imported the extracted XMP rather than a nested download folder. Restart Lightroom only after checking the panel and import result.
Lightroom desktop
In the cloud-based Lightroom desktop app, open a photograph, display Presets, use the menu to import, and select the extracted XMP file. Look for the Tokyo Film Vol.1 group and the TG01, TG02, or TG03 preset name.
iPhone and iPad — direct XMP import
Save the extracted XMP to Files or accessible cloud storage. Open a photo in Lightroom, then choose Edit → Presets → Yours → the options menu → Import Presets. Select your XMP file.
Android — direct XMP import
Save the extracted XMP to accessible storage. Open a photo in Lightroom, then choose Edit → Presets → the options menu → Import Presets. Select your XMP file.
Find the imported Tokyo Film preset by name. Menu placement can vary with the app version; consult the Adobe reference below if your screen differs.
Desktop sync as an alternative
With an active subscription, presets can sync from cloud-based Lightroom desktop to mobile using the same Adobe ID. Wait for sync to finish. Lightroom Classic is a different app; these sync instructions refer to Lightroom desktop.
Verify the result on a RAW file
Use a RAF file rather than a finished JPEG for the first test. Apply the preset and check Exposure, White Balance, and Profile. A restrained preset may intentionally leave all three unchanged.
Then adjust exposure for the subject and white balance for a familiar surface. The preset establishes direction; those two corrections make it belong to the photograph.
Keep presets organized
Use one clearly named group per creator or project. Remove duplicates only after confirming which copy is current. Preserve the original download and license outside Lightroom.
A small trusted library is faster than hundreds of near-identical options. Build favorites around the light and subjects you actually photograph.
